Ty is a lifelong creative, new to the Boston area after residing for the last 14 years on the beautiful island of O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. Coming out of Hawai‘i Pacific University with an English degree, she decided not to use it, and pursued art as a career. Starting from stationary pieces to painting on up-cycled clothing, the next step organically became tattooing. Ty apprenticed in Kailua and became a tattoo artist focusing on botanicals, ornamental work, and scientific illustrative designs based on native Hawaiian flora + fauna. Taking a large leap to the New England area, she is excited to learn about the ecosystems here, continue to create pieces that flow with our individual bodies, and learn from this community.
